	Story Behind the Song I was watching an old film clip of a Shamisen player on public TV, NHK, in Japan. Theplayer was using blue notes. Later with my guitar I was trying to imagine a mix of Asian and blues elements. Within a half hour I was onto what would become the verseof this melody. No Asian influences survived. Includes a tip of the hat to Cornell Dupree.
