	Story Behind the Song In late 1997, a friend of mine met a man with the bluest eyes that lit up the room when he smiled. It was the the magical sweetness of this first new love that I wanted to capture here. It took 15 minutes to write, but 35 hours from scoring to arranging to recording. The last take was done in the early a.m., my back to the band, near tears and exhaustion after several unsuccessful takes--and you can hear that vulnerability in my voice.
