	Story Behind the Song Paul Dukas (1865-1937)never achieved much fame as a composer. But this work and his Symphony in C remain concert favorites. Of course, Walt Disney made this work even more famous by casting Mickey Mouse as the sorcerer's apprentice in 'Fantasia'. This performance follows Dukas' original score for tempos and expression as closely as possible. The recording here is complete as opposed to the shortened version used in the film.
