Story Behind the Song
I wrote this after a big breakup (obviously) and also after hearing the 'Ry Cooder Jazz' album. I'd never even done a demo of this because I never had the instrumentation available to do it justice. Now, I'm learning how to use the synthesiser and multi-track software on my computer to get a decent sound. It's funny how the more I learn...the better the software works! ;-)
Lyrics
Some people know how to write a beautiful love song.
Everyone love to make love all night long.
Nobody knows how to make love stay,
Like a sweet breeze blowing away,
Nobody knows how to make love stay.
And when you lose your love, good times will be hard to find
You might wish she would change her mind...
Fat Chance!
Fat chance for the big romance
Man you know that chick can't have no heart, no soul.
Fat chance, you done danced the last dance.
And if you think she will be back for more,
Fat chance for the big romance
Fat chance, just another song and dance...(strictly) routine.
Oooo oooo oo oo oo oo oo oo
Oooo oooo oo oo oo oo oo oo
Some people know how to write a beautiful love song.
Everyone love to make love all night long.
Nobody knows how to make love stay,
Like a sweet breeze blowing away,
Nobody knows how to make love stay.
It might cut you in two, leave the best part of you.
If you think there will be something left....
Oooo oooo oo oo oo oo oo oo................
