Story Behind the Song
This song was recorded on my first CD at Passion Recording Studio in Ocala Florida.Written and recorded in 1998-1999, about 40-50 hours were spent writing, recording and mixing this song to be ready for the final CD, "In Essence". The song is one of 12 appealing new pop songs on this CD and they are all written for listening enjoyment and dance.
Lyrics
Giving Up Your Heart
Copyright 1998, 2000 by Carla Crean
Verse: I heard you think he's really fine, you were with him all the time,
They say that you were so in love - he could not do wrong enough.
To make you ever change your mind, he's the one you've picked him out,
Now he's the one for you without a doubt.
Giving Up Your Heart
Are you giving up your heart
Chorus: Giving up your heart can be so easy,
Careful now be sure he is the one,
To always say I hope you're glad to see me,
And give you all of his love in return.
Mystic mornings you'll remember could they ever last forever,
When the night falls in your world are you listening to your dreams girl,
Magically the time just flies by filling you with love's delight,
You know you're giving up your only heart to him.
Chorus: Giving up your heart can be so easy,
Careful now be sure he is the one,
To always say I hope you're glad to see me,
And give you all of his love in return.
Did you learn.
