This is a free piano solo improvisation I recorded in April 1999.
It's 16 minutes long; the first few minutes sound a little bit monotonous, but then it expands to "full fruition".
So please be patient when listening to it.

Story Behind the Song
I'm an amateur pianist mainly playing for my own pleasure.
Besides of regular practicing, it is a common routine for me to "just play" on the piano, without thinking, without any plan.
Just floating.
These sessions most often consisted of long monotonous repitions, during which sometimes all of a sudden melodious passages emerged.
These ideas often completely took me by surprise since my thoughts were far away at these moments. For me, these are like butterflies coming nearby, staying a while and then disappearing again.
I recorded a lot of these sessions, but most of them need to be edited, since often only 10% are of interest.
This particular session, "April", however, succeeded in one founding. It was a "happy moment" for me and I personally like it very much. I think some people might like it too, so I'm publishing it here, for your pleasure.
Have a nice time
