    Story Behind the Song
This song was written to cheer up my uncle and brother in Christ, who was in the hospital awaiting a heart transplant for 11 months. This was definitely the toughest one to record the vocals on. When recording the vocal tracks, I would choke up and cry when I would think of what he went through. I was in the middle of recording this song when his heart transplant finally came. Things didn't go as planned, complications arose during the surgery and my uncle went home to be with Jesus. He never did get to hear it, but I know he would have loved it. The song includes rifts in the guitar solo that were written by him some years ago. The two melodies just seemed to flow, symbolizing our relationship through Jesus Christ. Sometimes we can't always control the way things turn out, "but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings of eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." -- Isaiah 40:31. The strength he received through our Lord will always be remembered.

    Lyrics
    Sometimes things don't come
Come as quickly as you plan
Sometimes you feel like you're sinking deep within the sand
    Try to keep in mind
The plans aren't made by you
And asking in his name in all you can do

    (chorus)
Good things come to them that wait
    You have to seek forgiveness
You have to seek His face
Good things come to them that wait
So bow your head, and fold your hands
    and pray, and wait

    As time begins to pass
    The waiting's not so long
Even though you feel like the missing beat
    Of a half-written song
    As time begins to fade
    And memories come crashing through
And trusting in His name is all you can do

    (chorus)

    (Guitar solo)

    (chorus)
