	Story Behind the Song I was inspired to write this after four months in Singapore. McDonald's ran a promotion where, for $4.95 and the purchase of an Extra Value Meal, you could get plush Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel in various Asian wedding garb. Singaporeans literally camped out for these dolls. They were skipping work, ditching school, and just giving away McDonald's food to "collect all five" sets. In my little world, This warrants a song. I wrote "Dear Daniel" in one day, and recorded it in two. Hope you like it!
