	Story Behind the Song The updated 1999 Funnt File Pilot, based on the pilot done in 1994 and corrected with input from the SF fan community. It starts off with our hero, Dirwood Funnt, a former starship captain, mopping out the scumtubes at the United Cosmos' New Flushing Starbase. Unknown to Funnt, his future is about to change when the Luddite Memorial League decides to steal the UC's top-secret spaceship and kidnap him to help them do it. Despite its premise, Funnt is actually a satire of mass-media science fiction - the type where the audience has to be hit over the head with a moral and where characters are forced to speak lines never used in normal speech.
