With all the personality and simplicity of a Latin style folk song, "Limosnero" reflects acceptance of a love which is slowly being lost to the pursuit of a new conquest. But as the lyrics imply, what goes around, comes around and the tables of affection can at any moment be turned. | MP3.com CD: Natural - buy it!

Story Behind the Song
"Limosnero" was inspired by observing a young woman who seemed to have noticed an old flame with a new love at a social gathering. She graciously greeted him and his mate, desperately fighting back tears and trying hard to conceal her emotional injury. Not long into the evening, a very handsome stranger approached her and made subtle advances which she gladly accepted with mild flirtation. As her former lover took notice, it was he who could not hide the expression of dismay and loss. Even after he attempted to break away from his companion and win the attention of this previous love, now in his eyes undoubtedly more irresistable than he had ever remembered, it was obviously too late and the chance seemed to be forever lost.
"Limosnero" suggests that although a new fling may seem exciting, when one expects their current love to accept less affection as a result of their careless flirtations, it may be that one day they will be the one to feel as if they have to beg for whatever affection their companion is willing to throw their way.
