A party song. Written and influenced by a weekend trip ,during spring break, to San Felipe, Mexico...with the feel of a dirty guitar and various descriptions of the Imperial Valley. written and produced by Albert Zavala with the thoughts of many close friends and their antics on his mind. |

Story Behind the Song
Story behind the song?
After completing all of what was going on this album. I found we lacked a kind of party feel, that most friends, who know us, recognized in us as people . With that in mind, coupled with the inspiration from a fan/friend, I started "they were kind enough to let me out and into the stars as I turn on to Holt and park" was written in the spirit of any guy in his home town, theres a street here where I grew up called Holt, who can remember being out and feeling as vital and alive as ever. The feeling is enbodied in this song.Towards the end things start to feel urgent like too many questions trying to answer everything at once and make everyone happy and suddenly realize what lifes about "Gimme mine" as i sing in the end captures that I think with an abrupt ending your left questioning , just like after any trip.
Lyrics
They were kind enough
to let me out and into the stars
as I turn onto Holt and park
just wait for the next one
to give me a jolt
they say in life you don't give up
but I don't have any hope
but I'll just sit back and
Ill wait for the next life
to take me back
its all about dreaming
its all about living thru the night
aint no forgiving life
Im done with all the resets
give me my guitar
and ill forget that Im reject
from the planet Mars
just live on and forget it man
cause theres nothin more
but to live on and forget it man
cause youll get yours
whats wrong with gettin yours
Ill get mine if you give me yours
Its all about draming
Its all about living thru the night
int no forgiving life
