Lyrics
Poem
Dawn breaks, fresh breeze floats
On a wild bed of plant life, Cheetah lye’s low
Sniffing the air, tasting the prey
Patiently waiting, an hour she lay
Opportunity knocks - her eyes wide, jet black
Muscles tensing for forward attack
She checks once more, for predators bigger
Then like lightning runs, with form and rigour
As she approached, the prey turns entranced
Looks death in the eye, senses enhanced
She shimmies her back, faces the beast
And at the last second, turns and retreats
Cheetah goes past, her run to strong
Misses her chance, strategy wrong
