	Story Behind the Song Mike Slamer and Steve Walsh (Kansas) wrote and recorded this for the band Streets in the early 80s. In this new incarnation, Slamer revs it up a bit, with Keith Slack taking on the daunting task of replacing Walsh. Lyrics I use to keep a little distance: Once bitten, twice shy.
