Story Behind the Song
The tunes in this medley featuring the
Highland Bagpipes (everything after Morag of
Dunvagen), were produced in the following manner:
Each note of the pipes (there are 9) was recorded
into a digital sampler. I wrote a custom program which
converts the sheet music into Midi notes. Each grace note and
doubling was faithfully reproduced in the output Midi file.
When this file is played with the sampled bagpipe mptes,
the result is what you hear. I delibreratly had the tempo
of the songs increased just enough to make it
extreemly difficult to reproduce on the actual bagpipes.
Enjoy!
