The original name of this piece is "Jam Fancy"....for tenor recorder, oboe or shawm soloist.
In this version, however, it is a virtuoso crumhorn player who wanders onto the stage where a jazz band is playing. The pianist becomes a harpsichordist and the whole thing takes on a strangely olde-worlde hue.
The score of this work is now available from Musik Fabrik:

Story Behind the Song
This was originally written for a viruoso recorder player, and was performed several times by her (Isis Goddess). Now we've lost contact so I never got a recording. This then is a version using my Akai S950 sampler to recreate the solo line on crumhorn samples. Very effective and weird!
