This is my favorite song yet! It's a downtempo trip-hop dub with piano, strings and a little 303 thrown in for good measure. It's a song in two parts, so you gotta listen all the way through cause a really nice classical piano part with the sound of rain in the background begins around 2:35. It really reminds me a lot of Craig Armstrong's version of "Weather Storm"...but this one is more trip-hoppy and dubby. Also, this is more piano intensive whereas his focuses on strings and orchestral parts. |

Story Behind the Song
I wrote the classical piano part (from 2:35 until the end of the piece) between the hours of 11:00pm and 5:00am one night. It was the first day I installed Cakewalk, so I was very inspired to be creative (plus I had just downed a large coffee). The rest of the song kind of fell into place a couple of days later. I was listening to the Massive Attack remix of Peter Gabriel's "Games Without Frontiers" and I got the idea for the beat. The rest is history.
