People say it's catchy. People say it's singable. People say it's weird. People say it's cute. People say they don't get it. I used tabla, maracas and tambourine as percussion. Sing along, it's fun.

    Story Behind the Song
In 1992, I was taking a shower one night
and I started singing something really random,
    this is the end product.
This, contrary to what some people may think,
is NOT a comedy song NOR is it a children's song.
It is the title track of an album
whose theme is related to Zen.

    Lyrics
    I.

    On the night of Halloween
There were five vampires sitting on a hill
    One vampire said to another
"Hey Joe, tell us a story!"
    And so little Joe began
To tell about his school and his cats and his dogs
    But nobody else had fun
So they all left him alone.

    Even vampires don't make friends
And there's nothing strange about it
Na na na na na na na na na na na.......

    II.

    On another cold cold night
There were twelve hobgoblins sitting on a bench
    One hobgoblin said to another
    "Hey Bob, get lost!"
But Bob did not go away
And so they both got into a big fight
    He knocked Bob down unconscious
And they all left him alone.

    Even hobgoblins don't make friends
And there's nothing strange about it
Na na na na na na na na na na na.......

    III.

On a night when the full moon was bright
There were thirteen little witches riding on their brooms
One little witch said to another
"Hey Sue, let's have a race."
But Susan did not want to race
Because her broom was very old and very slow
They all thought she was no fun
So they all left her alone.

Even little witches don't make friends
And there's nothing strange about it
Na na na na na na na na na na na.......

    IV.

On the very last winter night
There were six baby ghosts playing in the rain
One baby ghost said to another
    "Give me your stupid pacifier!"
But baby Bill did not want to give
The best tasting pacifier he had ever owned
They all thought he was stingy
And they all left him alone.

Even baby ghosts don't make friends
And there's nothing strange about it
Na na na na na na na na na na na.......
