Vacuum starts off w/ train station sounds and guitarfeedback, and leads into a spacey, mellow guitar linethat is the verse of the song. Halfway through thesong picks up pace dramatically and goes into a heavierpart which paints the background for teh guitar solo. The solo and the rest of the band lead the song into a rising crescendo, which then crashes into a slowtempo spacey/psychadelic outro. The outro purposelyand beautifully contrasts the crescendo leading intoit. This brings the listener down from the roller-coaster ride that is "Vacuum"

    Story Behind the Song
Geoff Efaw, singer for Brain21 used to have to
ride the subway to work everyday across town in
Atlanta. Public transopration allows for the
    observing of many "interesting personalities."
THis song was inspired by the "personalities"
that make up the joy of public trasportation!
    :-)

    Lyrics
I used to take the train from Five Points to Chamblee
two years two hours a day
and that line would stick in my head from Eleanor Rigby
and to myself I'd sing "all the loney people" as they stared at the floor
and I always wondered what they were looking for
at the station one day wild-eyed and crazy a man walked up to me and said
"Led Zeppelin's blasted off to the moon and he's cold jammin with Jimi Hendrix!"
and then he laughed quite loud insane
but all the lonely people just stared at the floor
as I watched him I wondered what he went looking for
then you hear the rumble just down the tracks
it echoes through the tunnel with the weight of the northbound train
and every head is staring into the black
searching for the eyelights on the face of the northbound train
soon we'll be back home where we belong soon we'll be home
it's good to be back home back in the place where we belong
rattling with the chains through the works around and out again
