Hey, when a band names a song after themselves it HAS to be good, right? Well, no. This one never made it out of the 16-track studio. Still, this one has some lo-fi charm to it. It's haunting in a MOEV kinda way. "Set a course for Paris By Air. Imagination will take you there. It's a sight to see. It's your reality." | MP3.com CD: Edge - buy it!

Story Behind the Song
The name Paris By Air came from a song -- not this one. European rockers Tygers of Pan Tang put out a great song called "Paris By Air" and it always stuck to Rick from the time he picked up the album at an HMV in England. Anyway, that's how the band got its name.
This song was written a good five years after the band was together. It's the only PBA song that actually shifts tempo mid-song. This happens towards the end. Rick wanted a frenetic slowdown, like a carnival winding down. The only solution was to manually turn the wheel on the sequencer to slow down the sync signal -- don't ask. It worked.
