	Autobiographical composition placing the composer in a setting totally loyal to the actual events. It is Brooklyn, New York, in 1954. Drew is 8 years old, hiding away, plunking on an old upright piano in the furnace room, deep in the basement of the house. The lyrics are completely true, but not featured on this disk. This is the instrumental rendition.

	Story Behind the Song This album, "Beads on a String", is a collection of 16 piano sketches, in my own improvisational style. For lack of a better way to excuse it's somewhat "runaway" character, I've dubbed it "garage jazz". This tune does have lyrics, touching upon a somewhat troubled childhood, leaving few precious escapes, such as Uncle Louis' Basement.
