Story Behind the Song
I sequenced this piece in midi from a figured bass, using suggestions for its realization by a famed recorder player, Carl F. Dolmetsch. He also suggested the ornamentation I used in the recorder part. I am fascinated by Loeillet's style, which has more in common with French harpsichord music than, say, Telemann or Handel. I do not have a score for the rest of the Sonata but am searching for it to complete the work in the future.
