	Story Behind the Song This song started out as a scribbling on scrap paper in 1996, and all that existed of it was the first verse, until 1998, when I came across it while going through my "ideas" folder. It was written out of the frustration of the loss of a close relationship and the discomfort of awkward attempts at interaction. It was originally acoustic guitar and vocals, but Wade Saliba collaborated after hearing it and we decided to make it "bigger". The process was a short one, as the recording was on a pretty tight schedule, but the additions were effective. Dramatic sound for melodramatic lyrics.
