Story Behind the Song
Originally titled "Quasida" (from the Arabic word meaning "Song of the Desert"), this song first appeard on Steamhammer's "MK II" LP on the B & C label in 1970. The band had been playing very electric progressive rock/blues sets all over the European continent in support of their very successful debut single, "Junior's Wailing", during the last part of the 60's - so this moody track represents some of the non-blues/rock influences they had been soaking up, and an example of their desire to broaden their musical scope.
