Story Behind the Song
I wrote 65 norths music and most of the lyrics in the studio, during the Suburban Hero sessions. It ended up being the best song on the album, and it is the only song off of the album that we still played live for a long time. It's about being conflicted with whether or not you want to be in a relationship with someone anymore. About just packing your bags, driving away and starting over, whether that be with a new job, new lover, or whatever.--Jason Wayman
Lyrics
I tried to scream out loud
but all I heard was echoes, so whats the point now?
I can't find the space to breath
And I don't want to hear about it,..never listen
So I've finally figured out that I'd rather be alone
You can't relate to me
So I've spent the past couple weeks locked in seclusion
It's easy for me
I'll burn my bridges and move to the other side, don't try to find me
I've finally figured out that I'd rather be alone
Some things are better not said at all
It's been to long now
I've tried to move on, and now that projection is gone it shouldn't take long
I'd rather be alone
You can't relate to me
