	Story Behind the Song ALAN'S TEARS This song is based on the mistake every woman has made at least once in her lifetime: caring for a man that "needs to be saved" and letting go when it's clear he doesn't want to be. After six months and dozens of inceptions, "Alan's Tears" was finally finished in November of '99 and recorded the following December.
