    Story Behind the Song
This song was written a few years ago and at the time was a full on pop ditty ala The Rembrandt's "Friends" theme. It slowly transformed itself into this rootsier, slower version as the band played it live. It is a favorite in concert and is currently being played on San Diego's AAA radio station SETS 102.1.

    Lyrics
    Beyond The Moon

When I think about the places I've been in my life
I look upon the lessons I have learned
And the time that I have wasted lost out in the night
Written in the pages I have earned

    Crazy schemes and stolen dreams
    Fade into my past
    Foolish pride I couldn't hide
    Humbled me at last

When I have wings and I am free
And all my dreams come true
I'll find you waiting there beyond the moon

When I think about the faces of everyone I've known
No one in this world compares to you
Now you've become my oasis someone to call my own
Gone from rags to riches gray to blue

Pumped up stars in fancy cars
    In everything I planned
    Led to lies and compromise
    Still you understand

    Chorus:

The lonesome ride the battle line
I see them start to fade
And every test I lay to rest
With peace that I have made

    Chorus
