	Story Behind the Song Breaking up is hard to see sometimes. And I think artists often react differently to events like that. All I remember is it finally dawning on me that it was ending. I was driving back a restaurant/pub in Newport, RI to home in Easton, MA when this came to me suddenly. It was raining. I pulled over to the side of the road to write the lyrics on the side of a cardboard box in the back seat as they poured out of my soul. Guitar work is inspired by Jorma Kaukonen's tune Genesis on the Quah album that I was learning at the time.
