	A Gaelic Waulking song from the West Highlands of Scotland. A Waulking song is a song of alternating chorus and solo lines sung by women in the Highlands when 'waulking' (shrinking) cloth. The custom no longer survives as modern methods have overtaken the tweed industry.

	Story Behind the Song The 'Cave of Gold' is based on a legend about a piper who was enticed by fairies to enter the Cave. They captured the piper and kept him there, so they could enjoy his music for eternity, as Scottish faries are known for their love of music. I sang it with out instrumentation for quite a while, until Mark Kane heard it and knew exactly how to enhance this song with his guitar playing. Traditionally this song would have been sung a cappella, but since it had already been recorded that way, and I loved what Mark did with it, we decided to use guitar, fiddle and percussion on this track.
