    Story Behind the Song
While taking an evangelism class at ACU where I was the only non-bible-major, (and where half the class was comprised of graduate students) I began to feel like I didn't belong in there. I never felt like I was being looked down upon, I just felt somewhat intimidated by the "spiritual giants" in the same room. One night after coming to the realization that they were no different from me, in that "...all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23), I wrote this song. It speaks to both Christians that think they have "arrived" and the new Christian who might feel looked down upon by these "spritual giants" on their "high horses" for their weakness. The chorus reminds both kinds of people to "look up and see just where you stand" because all Christians have come from sin into grace.

    Lyrics
    Swallow deep
    Lower, slower
    The air you breathe
Is the same, youre so vain
    Dizzy height
This horse you ride, makes you blind
    Look to see
Far below, the world you used to know

    Chorus:
Where are the giants in this land?
    Everyman, Everyman
Look up and see just where you stand
    Everyman, Everyman

    Years of grime
    Baked on, caked on
    Guess you thought
You'd do it on your own, alone
    Came to grips
    Your humanity, fragility
    Wasted time
    Still rumbles in your mind

    Chorus

    Bridge:
Some people laugh and they shout
    "Everyman has fallen!" (echo)
    Someday they'll figure out that
    Every man has fallen (echo)

    Chorus
