	Story Behind the Song The song was written in a matter of about 3 weeks. The lyrics are written around a book by Steven King, "Bag of Bones". The meaning of the title "Fossil" refers to old memories or thoughts that get pushed back in your mind that you forget about, pretty much buried in your head. Hence forth, it's like finding a fossil, because it was imprinted in your mind. Lyrics Constantly fading dreams, none of them what they seem, petrified of yourself. (None of this is real) Something broke into your skin (mesmerized this time). Memories of what have been (creep inside your mind). (Ol' bag of bones) Follow me down all of these steps into peace.
