(1996) This was the first song Sonic & I tried to put together after stepping out into the St. Petersburg, "original-band" arena. To this day, I think it's one of Sonic's funkier grooves!!! |

Story Behind the Song
Honestly, when I was in New Orleans, I met this tripped out hooker. She wanted to give me some "free-love." Said she was hungry...I took her to McDonalds and listened as she rapidly slurred her words. It seemed like she was trying to justify her position to me. i don't think conversation was her specialty. After dinner, I paid hr for her time and went in search of stale blues & liquor.
Lyrics
All along the vein of life she dwells,
calling out in snow white voice
All along the vein of life she dwells,
ghostly smile, snow white noize.
She was dancing like a midnight moonbeam,
breathing heavy like a memory that's lost;
as she cried, like she'd nver been turned on,
at a pace, where life grows numb.
She was moving like a hypnotic song,
all strung out and left alone;
then she fell to the ground a bit deeper,
nothing left to hide but skin and bones.
