Story Behind the Song
The music was laid down in my garage back in 1989. I had this old junk drumset that I got for $75. I took this yamaha electric drum($5 used) with midi out, took out the 4 rubber pads and put them on my drumset. It gave me that weird bass drum sound, the gong cymbal, and the funky tom. We triggered a D4 with it. Jamie was using his Boss SE-50, which he clained he would never part with( and then he sold it last year for $100 bucks.)
The lyrics were written at the time that the Exxon Valdez went aground. "Screw 'em all, they can't take a joke" ended up coming true with how Exxon sneaked out of that situation.
