Story Behind the Song
This song was actually a scribbled poem I wrote years ago when I was depressed. I was in between relationships, homes, jobs and cars. Life was very up in the air at the time of this writing (10 years later, I'm right back where I was). A year or so later the orginal writing I added a few chords to it, wrote a bridge and completed basically a short song. Though it was never meant to be heard (I never even performed it on stage), here it is in a "beta" form to get my feet wet in the recording, playing, producing side of the field. The vocals are rough for now, the timing not quite on (no click trax) and all tracks were recorded once (no punch in or out either) with no corrections made later, other than a slight mix. The song is very personal to me, the lyrics may not reflect too much of my inner-self, but it is the lines we sometimes have to read between to find the truth we are searching for. If viewers thinks it renders some sort of charm or quality I'll re-record it to the fullest of my abilities to be released on the upcoming "10 Year Drought" album, so drop me an email and let me know..
Lyrics
Listen to the rain pouring down,
Outside my window
I can still here the wind if I try,
Blowing through my bedroom
But if I close my eyes
I soon realize, Its my imagination
Cause in my dreams
Im the sun in the sky and I
Im not ready to come down now.
BREAK
Im tired of wondering
Where my life is going
Like some distant sea ship,
Ive always been, where the wind keep blowing
Ive been around and Ive been down,
But somethings kept me going
I keep climbing for that solid ground
And I, I aint ready to come down now
Ooohh, yeah, I cant see nothing,
From where I stand, I cant see nothing, nothing
BREAK
Listen to the pouring down,
Outside my window
I can still here the wind if I try,
Blowing through my bedroom.
