I've been walking for some time now, sometimes it seems forever
This corridor like so many others, has many doors, others none or few
Cold, flat gray or vibrant claret shades, the walls can possess color
Often times it's difficult to know, lights above can be dim and diffuse.
I proceed turning more often today, to wander this twisted maze
But I'm pleased with the artwork hanging, it was horrific, two days ago
Many times the wall are bare and void, when art is there I gaze
This piece is very inspiring, I dissolve looking into its flow.
CHORUS
I never stop exploring, to see what I will find
Behind every door, stimulation for my mind
Curiosity the key, craving more is my drive
I live to see, what's on the other side.
Now I open a door and enter, after it slams shut, it locks
Still shocking me after all this time, there's no key, no way of returning
This corridor has so many doors, maybe one could lead me back
If I choose maybe I'd try to return, if my current path gets too boring.
CHORUS
When I started, guides lead the way
They even opened doors for me
Now they're just voices, in the hallway
Still helping, advising me.
These corridors were prepared for me, many years before my birth
Long existing, these hallways and doors, some of them are boarded, or hidden
People close and distant, built this maze by the rules of Earth
For what it seems its not destiny, I choose the portals I open.
Whether decision or destiny, I must not choose without care
The passage doors may hide bottomless pits, their signs could have many meanings
The halls could even possess trap doors, hiding holes that fall to nowhere
However, stopping is not a choice, curiosity keeps me going...
