	Story Behind the Song The other song about television. This came after The Television Man. It was recorded in the Montrose dining room. I really like this song a lot, in particular the whole front half with the crazy four-part harmony. I also like the simple wha-wha stuff on guitar and bass. I also think the lyrics are evocative. I also think the TV has fucked with me. So has god. Lyrics I watch the Gods Eye and the Gods Eye scares me. It tells me things that I don't need to know. I learn and learn about things that don't matter and the Gods Eye draws me into the fold. It winks at me as if nothing was sacred. I'm kneeling down before my gods eyes glow. I watch... It shows me the real world and I hate it. The Gods Eye teaches me how to be me. The Gods Eye tells me what I should be thinking. The Gods Eye will teach me that I don't need to be free...
