Why conventions are no longer Meccas of Decadence. |

Story Behind the Song
Years ago, we used to go to fantasy/sci fi
conventions, because a number of other local
punks and freaks would attend, & it would turn
into an orgy of inappropriate acts that lasted
the entire weekend. Sadly, because of the
advent of the Internet, & the popularity of
raves, conventions have once again become just
as boring as you would prolly imagine them to
be.
Lyrics
fantasy sci-fi conventions
used to be weekend long erections
cheap sex & drink & drugs, I think
fuzzy thoughts & strange infections
last night I went to one
this fucking shit is surely done
smarmy dorks & fields of pork
a strange funk that can't be corked
cons are dead, the joke's on us
time to move my c0k to a scene I trust
kids today just go to raves
don't wanna be our anal slaves
geeks use the net & don't get upset
by the black clad young freak set
ten lonely guys in the lobby bar
wearing the crap that we discarded
all the women are gone, this shit's moved on
it's barely worth a song
cons are dead, the joke's on us
time to move my c0k to a scene I trust
