Story Behind the Song
We wanted to try a heavy hip-hop groove with an angular Monk-like melody on top. This was the first song we wrote for our project, and when we were done, we knew that this was definitely not smooth jazz... that's why we call it "soul jazz." We named the song after Bruce's sister Kendra, because she is such a nice young lady. (c)1999 Bell and Flowers
