    Story Behind the Song
Hi my name is Carlos L. Diaz but my friends call me " Mojo Black Cat Bone" thus the name of the Band and the tune. This was a fun song for me to write, style wise I'm just paying homage to some of my heroes Willie Dixon, Howling Wolf, and William Clark to name a few. The song was written in a burst of inspiration late one evening while sitting on my PC relatively quickly in about an hour. The lyrics came first then the music although I had a definite idea as to how the progression might be structured it was Al Leone on Bass and Guitarist Robert "Po Bob" Suskho who came up with the
funk groove feel to this song. We recorded it at REM Studios in Woodcliff Lakes NJ. REM owner and friend Rob Melosh was the Recording Engineer. The Funk Bass groove line was Bassist Al Leone's anchor for the Band and was instrumental in the structure arrangement by which "Po Bob" laid down his wicked guitar work. I laid down the vocals and Blues Harp work while Danny "Lettuce" Latucca delighted us with his Keyboard Wizzardry and New Orleans feel. The song was arranged and recorded while at REM Studios and the whole process took about 4 hours with only 2 takes to complete the song. Well that's it I hope you like our debut song and CD that is soon to be released we'll keep you posted.---MBCB

    Lyrics
    Mojo Black Cat Bone
(Carlos "Mojo Black Cat Bone" Diaz)

You know they call me Mojo, Mojo Black Cat Bone You know they call me Mojo, Mojo Black Cat Bone and when I love my women you sure can hear them moan. I was born the son of thunder, lightning, and the rain. I was born the son of thunder, lightning, and the rain because once theyre drenched by me they feel brand new gain.

I got a Mojo Black Bone, no woman can resist, I got the Johnny Conkeroo you know I just cant miss. I was born the son of thunder, lightning, and the rain, I was born the son of thunder, lightning, and the rain, Well Im the kind of man that drives all the girls insane.

When the moon begin to rise and you feel the howling wind, when the moon begin to rise and you hear that howling wind thats when youll look for trouble and se me creeping in. I was born the son of thunder, lighting, and the wind, I was born the son of thunder, lightning, and the wind, cause troubles on the loose and you know you just cant win.

You know they call me Mojo, Mojo Black Cat Bone You know they call me Mojo, Mojo Black Cat Bone and when I start to lovin, women wont leave me alone. I was born the son of thunder, lightning, and the rain I was born the son of thunder, lightning, and the rain cause once theyre loved by me you know theyll be back again.

You know they call me Mojo, Mojo Black Cat Bone You know they call me Mojo, Mojo Black Cat Bone and when I love my women you sure can hear them moan.
