	Story Behind the Song Nine of Swords refers to a tarot card. The imagery on the card shows a person sitting up in bed at night with their head in their hands. Nine Swords hover over their head. The swords repesent strife or struggles of some kind. The Swords do not touch the body which implicates that the danger may be overcome. I wrote this song at a time when the Nine of Swords was continually coming up in my Tarot readings. And, of course, I was waking up in the middle of the night full of distress over many unresolved issues in my life. Those issues have all since resolved but the song remains as a mystical reminder of the power of the mind and the card Nine of Swords.
