A slamming riff and a heartfelt lyric, dragged down by a truly wretched vocal. I don't even have the excuse of being drunk to explain the listless, flat, skank ass singing (though I was so hungover I was blind ). This was recorded at a "real" studio (never make that mistake again), so once we got the master tape home and realized the vocal was sh*t, there was nothing to be done about it. Still really like the song, though. | MP3.com CD: Heavy Planet Man - buy it!

Lyrics
Working for Friday and nothing else
Morning comes and I feel like hell
Living for nothing, just day to day
Gonna wake up one morning old and gray
Wondering where the hell did my life go
Always getting gassed, but it never did roll
Bitter, and burnt out, and going to seed
I'm not going to let that happen to me
These wheels have stopped their spin
And now they're digging in
No use talking about times to come
Cos we might never see 'em
Or talking about people that we might be
Cos baby we'll never be 'em
Time is no master, and it's no slave
And all I've got waiting I an open grave
I'm gonna stop worrying about things in my past
Gonna get up and get off of my ass
These wheels have stopped their spin
And now they're digging in
