An aggressive, in-your-face tune featuring a guitar-heavy opening with balls the size of grapefruits. But the chorus takes the song up a few levels in melodic intensity, and the bridge mellows out to a sweet 70's-esque groove that builds to a climax that absolutely rocks yer socks.
CD: Bitter   Label: Golden Cup Records (independent)
Credits: Performed by Earth to God. Produced, engineered and mixed by Mike Barile

    Story Behind the Song
The music and lyrics were written by Ron during a rare fit of inspiration a few years ago. Of course, he had his
ex-girlfriend in mind when writing the
lyrics. Well, "Girlfriend in a Box":
You decide what it means! Our producer,
Mike, helped us streamline the arrangement to give it
that little push over the cliff.
The product is what we feel is one of our
    hardest-hitting tunes.

    Lyrics
    GIRLFRIEND IN A BOX

    The night is almost gone
    And sunlight’s creeping overhead
I’ll sing just one more lullaby
And then I’ll tuck you into bed

If I could taste your immortal kiss
    I wouldn’t be the man I am
To let you rule my heart by night
Is more than I would care to stand

So Please I ask that you believe me
I’ll love you when my candle’s burned away

(Chorus) When I open my eyes
I see your shadow standing there
If you were just alive with me
    We’d be the perfect pair

Do you think that you could steal away from me
Or did you forget who holds the key?
You drink my wine and try to spit it back at me
Yeah this is what true love should be

    (Chorus)

    (Solo)

    (Chorus)
