Story Behind the Song
phase1: the verse, and the bass and vocal lines for the chorus came out of an improvised jam.
phase2: the bridge part came out of an acoustic demo that I did with a higher moog part.
phase3: After recording the basic tracks with some live percussion, I wrote my guitar part to the chorus, and we added chanting, female vocals, and loads of percussion to the ending jam section. Paul mixed it.
phase4: The live arangement includes some extra choruses and more of a live jam instead of a tribal ceremony at the end...

Lyrics
Design
There will be no obvious answers
There will be no great escape
From your design
From your design
It's your design
It's your design
That's pushing you and pulling you into the sky
There will be no sun on this day
When you're raining on the parade
There will be no one to turn to
When you're turning away from yourself
And your design
It's your design
It's your design
It's your design
That's beautiful, so beautiful In this life
