	Story Behind the Song Myq began writing this song sometime shortly before we cut out first album in 1998. The album was named after the song, but the song wasn't finished in time to put it on the album. We thought it was funny, so we kept the name of the album. Subsequently, we decided that would make a good band name, and so we called ourselves My Grandfather Was A Spy. Then we finished the song and put it on the next album.
