In the stillness between sundown and the rise of a red moon, you wait...and pray. Wondering. Will they roll into town with big guns and mean eyes? Will Injuns scream at the sight of tomahawk dunks so frightening that they rattle the crucifix rims on Pontius Pilate's playground?
Somewhere far away, beyond the barren deserts of El Paso, beyond the cruel coral reefs of Hawaii, beyond the bittersweet karaoki bars of Japan - they ride.

Story Behind the Song
Legend of Vanilla Thunder
In the stillness between sundown and the rise of a red moon, you wait...and pray. Wondering. Will they roll into town with big guns and mean eyes? Who will they drag through the flaming streets of skatertown? Will Injuns scream at the sight of tomahawk dunks so frightening that they rattle the crucifix rims on Pontius Pilate's playground?
Somewhere far away, beyond the barren deserts of El Paso, beyond the cruel coral reefs of Hawaii, beyond the bittersweet karaoki bars of Japan - a young boy plays Dungeons and Dragons. He dreams of being popular; but for now, he stays home with friends…what I mean by "friends"--are a collection of trinkets that sit on the bookshelf.
Lyrics
Maybe you would think I was wonderful
If I could just dunk a basketball
And at the home game
you would twirl your hula hoop
and you would cheer my name
as I drove it to the hoop
To the Hoop, to the Hoop, to the Hoop
Here comes...Vanilla Thunder
Your girlfriends don't like me at all
but they can't even palm a basketball
oh no, oh yeah, oh no, oh yeah,
and you'll write my name
up and down your pants
and when i drive the lane
the brothers all will chant
To the Hoop, to the Hoop, to the Hoop
Here comes Vanilla Thunder
