Story Behind the Song
This is a fictional story about a person that just became their own writer. We all write what happens to us (self-fulfilling prophecies).... do we really think we have no affect on our lives
Lyrics
Ooh she said he’s gonna be there,
Who could promise that this night would never end
Just keep hoping that the sun don’t rise tomorrow
Or you’re gonna lose a friend
Don’t be angry when you wake up
Don’t be sorry for the things you haven’t done
What’s the matter don’t you want to turn the other way
Have you always been the other one?
It’s a part of the page in my life now
Do you write or read what you’ve been living on?
Everyday’s another page, another number closer to the end
Through the whisky and the makeup
There’s a woman that’s been looking for a plan
What’s the reason that she does this every Friday night
She just don’t’ understand
So you start looking for the answer
Always certain that you’ll never take advice
Seems like you started with the ending
But did you ever pay the price?
It’s a part of the page in my life now
Do you write or read what you’ve been living on?
Everyday’s another page, another number closer to the end
So she enlisted in the navy, so excited she forgot to clear her bail
So when she woke up Sunday morning, she was headed back to jail
In a brand new par of hand cuffs,
Come to mama cause she’s walking out a noon
Seems like no other way she’s gonna stay
But she could never leave to soon
It’s a part of the page in my life now
Do you write or read what you’ve been living on?
Everyday’s another page, another number closer to the end
