While misery may not always love the company it's around, it definitely enjoys hanging out with a funky piano and bass. Singin' the blues has never been this much fun. |

Story Behind the Song
According to Moon, "sometimes we only know where we want to go in life, not how we will get there." This song was written in response to the frustration he was feeling in his own life as a much-needed reminder that even if we can't see where the path leads, eventually it always leads us home.
The song was written in a Baltimore, Maryland hotel room and was recorded in 1998 at Allen-Martin and Distillery Sound Studios, both in Louisville.
Lyrics
I've always been a rock,
but now I've hit rock bottom
something's always happening to me
you say you've lost your problems?
I think I've got 'em
something's always happening to me
why don't you speak to me?
does the phone in Heaven ring?
why is this happening to me?
no explanation for these trials and tribulations
something's always happening to me
I feel like Job, I lost my ass
and lost my sheep
something's always happening to me
I know you speak to me
but my phone it never rings
why is this happening to me?
no explanations for these trials and tribulations
something's always happening to me
you were always there for me
there were things I could not see
good things were happening to me.
Something keeps on happening
ain't no use in asking Him why
it'll be all right...
