Story Behind the Song
chris briglia - the lyrics where written in my basement
on a winter night in easton, PA. my full time job as an engineer
was driving me crazy. From a professional or non-professional
perspective, I think everyone who works for a living can appreciate
this song to an extent. I spent 3-1/2 hours writing the lyrics, and 3
hours writing the drum parts and root notes. Keith spent 3 hours
figuring out his guitar parts. a total of 8 hours was spent on recording
retakes, mixdown and transfer to an mp3 file.
Lyrics
I get to work, the phone it rings, this day will be such a gas
I putter about with important things, a target on my ass
I hate my job, I hate my job
I hate my job, I hate my job
All respect and responsibility, I suck and it's just as well
Total apathy and inability, it's lonely here in hell
I hate my job, I hate my job
I hate my job, I hate my job
Clients shriek such nasty things, no brain no pain no shit
When pressure sends me up a wal, I'm mad enough to spit
I hate my job, I hate my job
I hate my job, I hate my job
Paper work is not so bad, it has theraputic properties
When it gets fucked up it makes me sad, I can explain boss you see..
I hate my job, I hate my job
I hate my job, I hate my job
I hate my job, I hate my job
I hate my job, I hate my job
I hate my job, I hate my job
I hate my job, I hate my job
I hate my job, I hate my job
I hate my job, I hate my job
I hate my job, I hate my job
I hate my job, I hate my job
