    Story Behind the Song
"What it Means" is my realization of what I believe it truely means to be a man:
To spread the "message of love." Trying to rid my life of moral
corruptness and ego. To be true to my spirit of goodness. To make the hard choices that are the right choices.
To be introspective and to learn from my mistakes.
And to move mountains with the power of faith.

    Lyrics
    Chorus:

    All my lovin' got away
    But I've been finding it
Steppin' outside myself and looking in
    On everything
    And I've been reflecting on
What it really means to be a man

Did not know how wrong I had been
Did not know how I had taken her for granted
Could not see the error of my ways
    I was not soul enough
To make my way through the artificial maze

But this is here and now and that is then and past
And all I hope is we can make this moment last
Forever, for the rest of our lives
Got so much time, time to make it right

Want to tell you how sorry I am
For the way I treated you my friend

    Chorus

I was not luck that I found my way
It was not fate that led me to this fateful day
It was the faith of a hundred thousand men
    all bottled up in me
Waiting for a chance to send
Out the message the message of love
I had forgotten how important that message was
Now the choices, the choices are mine
What kind of life am I going to leave behind

And when the Man decides to come back on down
I'll be ready here to show Him around

    Chorus

Let the avalanches come crashing down
And wash us out into the sea
Baby, it'll still be you and me
