    Story Behind the Song
The Song was inspired by a somewhat heated conversation I had with someone I know that had a difficult time seeing things as they really are.
It was recorded live at a benefit we played at in Scottsdale, Arizona. The benefit was called, Artists for autism. I woke up at 2am and started writing it was actually finished in less than an hour. The original melody however, was canned for the current one.

    Lyrics
    Rose colored glasses

If the sky is black well that's OK
call a spade a spade ain't that what they say
no matter what you think or profess
you can't change the world today
no way. No matter what you say

She feeds her children the food that she will
what she feeds their soul keeps them loving and still
her minds always open but never to wide to let it inside
Oh yes she feeds hem well feeds her children well

    chorus

Is it time to take off those rose colored glasses
They can't see the egg shells that you're walking on
Good news is heard by all who will listen
but will you hear what you've known all along
    BRIDGE
When I was down in the valley
    of the shadow of death
I would not fear no evil
I'd raise my hands, close my eyes
and look up to the sky
Well it's ring around the rosy one more time
this time we can hold our heads up high
may the fruits of our labor
    be pleasing to our savior
If you wont listen, how can you ask why

I'll climb this mountain with the ones I love
finding all gods little treasures and rising above
Beyond the thistle and the thorns that once held me at bay
If I cry if I laugh, I'll dance all the way
