A rocker with excellent guitar work, written and released originally by Jyck Records unofficially for the University of New Mexico in 1994 (although the school never endorsed it). In any event, the song did have its UNM fans who rallied furiously behind this fast-pace fight song. | MP3.com CD: LOBO POWER - buy it!

Story Behind the Song
When Dick Stewart graduated from The University of New Mexico in 1994 (He quit UNM in 1964 to pursue a musical career), he wrote "Lobo Power" as an additional fight song for his alma mater. A group of students petitioned to have it endorsed by UNM but without success. After learning of this, Stewart replied jockingly, "Well, I could easily change the name to "Long Horn Power" and dedicate the song to them. What can I say? Both my sons now live in Austin and one plans on attending The University of Texas."
Lyrics
VERSE ONE:
Do you want to feel Lobo power tonight?
Do you want to howl and be a part of the Fight?
Well let's get ready for the pack attack.
Move forward, not look back.
Do you want to feel Lobo Power tonight.
SECOND VERSE:
Te quieres sentir Lobo power tonight?
Quieres gritar and be a part of the fight?
En conjunto we'll prevail.
Unidos we cannon fail.
Do you want to feel Lobo power tonight.
BRIDGE:
How you gonna know, how you gonna feel
being part of the pack movin' in for the kill.
Aggressive Lobo action produces satisfaction.
Do you wanna feel Lobo power tonight.
Let's turn up the heat, get ready to defeat
that unlucky foe with Lobo power blows.
The time's just right to show 'em up tonight.
Do you want to feel Lobo power tonight.
